INSIGHT on IPSY

This is NOT from me this is straight from IPSY for all you ladies that get products you don't like:

blog.ipsy.com

Introducing ipsyMatch!

You’re no carbon copy, so why should your Glam Bag be? Our team at ipsy has been working hard to create ipsyMatch, a personalization tool that uses the results from your profile, your Beauty Quiz, and your activity on ipsy.com to create a Glam Bag filled with the best beauty finds just for you, month after month!

We put ipsyMatch to work in a BIG way with your May “Spring Fling” Glam Bag. With 14 different products to choose from, we determined the best picks for you. You told us whether or not you like self-tanner, if you wear lipstick or lipgloss (or both!), your skin tone, and what type of hair you have, and we put all of that information together to make a Glam Bag we thought you would love!

Since this was our first time customizing so many products, we know it won’t be perfect. In some cases, we were not able to match every single product with your profile, so we sent you a bag that had the most products that we thought you would love.

If you have your eye on something that you did not receive in your bag, we encourage you to check out our Swap Forum at http://mygl.am/glammieswapforum where you can trade items with other subscribers. Also, be sure to improve your chances of being better matched in the future by making sure your beauty style and preferences are updated in our Beauty Quiz. If you need to, you can re-take the quiz here: http://www.mygl.am/retakequiz.

We are continuously working on ipsyMatch and it will continue to get better and better every month. We want to hear what you think, and if you have any questions, suggestions, or feedback, don’t hesitate to tell us! Head to our facebook fanpage at http://facebook.com/ipsyand leave us a post or e-mail ipsyCare at http://help.ipsy.com!

November Ipsy Bag

Finally I am off the Ipsy waiting list and received my first bag this month and I love it. I got products that I have never heard of and would have never tried before, and they were all makeup products (except for one nail polish) YAY!! Ive seen a lot of people complain about getting too many skin care or hair care products, which I understand. I much rather get the makeup as well, nail polish is awesome too. But the main reason I signed up for Ipsy is to try stuff that I would never usually try, plus its an awesome deal.

I looked up all the products that I received in mine and to buy all of them would have been $75.00 thats not even including a shipping cost. So for $10.00 including shipping your getting an amazing deal!!!
Plus if I ever get stuff I don't like I can just give it away, or gift it to someone.

Swatches from left to right:
1. Be a Bombshell in Hot Damn (Lip Crayon)
2. Starlooks in Topaz (Eyeliner)
3. Pixi in Subtly Suntouched (Bronzer)
4. bh cosmetics - Galaxy Chic in Aphrodite (Baked Eyeshadow)
5. .em michelee phan in Showstopper (Sheer Lipstick)
6. (Not swatched) Nailtini in Champagne (Nail Polish)

Pixi Bronzer, LOVE it!!

Definitely not a color I usually use, but I still like it, the whole palette is fun and colorful (pictured below)

This is the .em michelle phan lipstick very buttery and sheer, an easy and no fuss lipstick.

The Galaxy Chic Palette on sale currently for $14.95

Maleficent MAC 2014

Excited to see today that Disney is coming out with Maleficent the Movie on May 30, 2014. I absolutely love Disney movies, as I grew up watching them, and love that they have been remaking the cartoons into live-action movies.
Mac will be collaborating with Disney on a line of makeup. These are some of the photos that I found when I looked online, hoping that this is some insight into what we can look forward to for colors in the makeup line by Mac. I love this lip color and the intense color of the eye shadow.

These pictures are from the Evil Villians line that Mac did in 2010, in a cartoon version, the Maleficent line consisted of deep purples, plums, and blues.

The new Mac collection will be limited-edition and include 11 pieces, and I hope that it is released before the movie so I can of coarse purchase it and wear it to the movie.

Lash Potion - Definitely worth puchasing

Revlon Lash Potion is definitely one of my favorite drug store brands of mascara right now, the brush has two different lengths in it that lengthens your lashes like the high end mascaras do, I picked mine up at Target for only $4.99!!! For some reason I have seen this at other stores for $7.99, so Target is the way to go.

Naked 3

SOOOO Excited for the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette its gorgeous!!!
I love that the colors are rose tones, definitely makes me want to purchase this one, something a little different from the first 2, and perfect for the Holidays!! I can't wait for Christmas to purchase this one!
Such a beautiful picture of the three palettes side by side (http://www.temptalia.com)

Im a blogger now... since I have a blog and all.

So since anyone can have a blog now a days I decided to start one to link with my IG.  Today I did my first tutorial eye look for a friend. I warn you this is not professional quality at all.  I am interested in becoming a make up artist or an esthetician, and want to use this blog and my IG to learn more and to teach others as I go. Feel free to comment, please be nice..... Darcie Lynne :)
This is the tutorial that I did today, a smokey eye in a natural color scheme.  I prefer to use browns with my eye color and skin tone.

These are the two palettes that I used today, the one on the left is the Too Faced Natural Eye Palette, the palette on the right is the Too Faced Natural at Night Palette.

The colors in the first photo at the top three across, Heaven, Velvet Revolver, and Sexspresso.

I also did a look with this palette but it didn't photograph as good as it looked in person, but the Night combo of Full Moon, Nightcap, and Cocoa Star is by far my favorite combination out of both palettes.  The colors are gorgeous in person!!!
